In working for a smaller operation the employee does not feel that they are just a number, but are a contributing factor to the business. I have found that the best resource for me was my area chamber of commerce. The chamber members were very willing to give me small business advice as I was starting out. They were able to help me focus on the tasks that needed to be done immediately and to prioritize the things that could wait until I was more established. Getting this small business advice from the other business owners in the area was very helpful. I had read information however getting the help of others that know the community we live in and the people we serve is much more valuable.
