Start Your Career With A Bachelor Of Business Administration Degree

Wednesday, May 12th, 2010

Here is some advice to young people. If you ever heard the phrase: “life comes at you fast,” you should know that’s a perfect expression of reality. Let me tell you, once high school is finished, things will really begin to speed up. That year you thought you’d “take off” before heading off to college will fly by like no other. And the year after that, it is even quicker. The moral of the story is you shouldn’t procrastinate too long. Before you realize, you’ll be 28 and still flipping burgers.

Consider your life 10 years from now. Where is it that you would like to be? Maybe a bachelor of business administration degree can help get you there. Seek assistance from an advisor at your University before choosing a specific major. He or she will certainly be able to steer you down the right path to a bright and desirable future. Choose the way of higher education.

Are Human Resources Degrees Necessary?

Monday, May 10th, 2010

Anyone with a natural ability to manage people and a decent level of education can handle human resources jobs. A human resource job does not require any special training. A business degree can be helpful, but what really is necessary is the ability to manage people, a good sense of organization, and the ability to meet deadlines.

Graduates with human resources degrees do have a lot of good ideas, but the degree program also down plays the importance of real on-the-job experience. As a result, a lot of people with this background have some very unrealistic and maybe idealistic conceptions about the way the business world works. Some people that do get these types of degrees at times have the impression that they are more competent than they really are.
