Working in Guerilla Marketing

Tuesday, November 18th, 2008

When I first became involved in marketing and advertising, I thought it would be exciting. Working for an advertising marketing firm seemed like the best way to put my talents to good use. You see, I am a highly creative person who loves anything having to do with language and communication. Although I am a good speaker, I am even better when I have time to prepare. Unfortunately, the advertising shtick seemed pretty boring to me after a while. I didn’t really realize how mundane and routine most of it was. That is, until I got into guerilla marketing.

If you have never been been involved in guerilla marketing before, you can still probably guess what it is about. Basically, guerrilla marketing is a market promotion strategy where you apply guerrila tactics to publicizing your product or event. It involves components of word of mouth marketing, but it is more than word-of-mouth. It is about staging events in the real world to get people to notice your product or your client.

Working in a guerilla advertising agency has given me some of the most amazing stories that I have ever had to tell. I used to feel left out when I would go out with friends and they would all tell stories from their lives. One of my best friends is a policemen, another one is a psychiatrist, and the third one goes mountain climbing on the weekends. You can bet that they have some good stories, but now I had some to share myself! With gorilla marketing, we do things like stage impromptu street parties, pose as members of various subcultures to promote products that would interest them, infiltrate….

Understanding Basic Car Service Requirements

Monday, November 3rd, 2008

When trying to find a quality car service repair shop, be sure to understand a few time-tested considerations on the topic. First of all, don’t drag your feet to hit upon a truthful car servicing shop until one is immediately needed. The most horrible thing is to suffer a mishap and then be stuck going to the nearby repair place. Friends and family are a wonderful way to be introduced to a probable repair location. If they’ve experienced excellent repairs, it’s a good chance the repair shop gives the identical service to every last one of their customers. Before making a final choice, though, be resolved to ask for a few additional references and then inquire of those individuals about their thoughts.

There are a multitude of car service time periods to be aware of. A few crucial timeframes are as follows: at every 3 months or 3000 miles, change the oil. Spark plugs should be changed every 30,000 to 50,000 miles. Tires should be rotated every 6,000 miles or so. It used to be that a timing belt could be replaced every 60,000 miles, but today some have varying intervals and owner’s books should also be looked at. At every 15,000 to 20,000 miles, align the tires. Replace the fuel filter every 35,000 to 40,000 miles. Following car servicing timeframes such as these will help make certain that a car lasts for a long time.

Drivers of Volvo cars should always take notice of the already discussed car service timeframes as well as consulting their manuals for timely Volvo service on their car. All Volvos should be worked on at the right service intervals that are shown in Volvo Service Records booklets or at one of the various Volvo dealerships. By focusing on all car servicing necessities under the hood and on the body, Volvo owners can keep their autos in wonderful condition and take pleasure in their driving experience for many years.
An additional facet to car servicing to be aware of are car service repair rip-offs. A set of individuals who are time and again victims of this sort of scheme are the aged. One such trick occurs when an apparently concerned citizen flags an elderly person down. This scam artist discloses to the driver that it appears as if the car calls for repairs. The rip-off artist then gets the auto up on the jack and loosens the tire so it will wiggle. The older human being is swindled into providing the rip-off artist funds to fix the issue.

Driving a auto requires much more than only adding gasoline when the car gets low. By knowing the basics of car servicing, a vehicle can be made to go on much longer than the average person realizes. Most repair shops, such as the ones located at many Volvo service places, are made up of honest individuals. However, it’s always a good mental process to take the time to realize the car service process.

Changing for Today’s Manufacturing World

Friday, October 31st, 2008

When I first opened my manufacturing business, we did well. Money was good and my employees were happy. We had all new equipment and we were state-of-the-art. However, over the years that has changed. We no longer get jobs; usually India or China gets them instead. Most of the other manufacturing shops have switched to automated machines, and I can understand why. Our hydraulic shears are old and need to be replaced, and the switch to automated does seem beneficial. But it will require me to lay off good men with families. I recently read the article, “Competition in Manufacturing Processes” and learned that I’m not the only one needing to change a few things in order to survive today’s world market. Read this article if you are unsure how to process with your own manufacturing business.
