Let them know that it is the best you can do but as the company grows, you may be able to give them more. Also emphasize that this is something that you really want to do and that it is number one on your list of things to do in the future. Benefits for employees seem to be shrinking lately, but if you can offer them, you have found a way to keep the good ones with you.
