Out of the many different careers Lee Greif has experimented in in the course of his life, the one he enjoyed the most was the five years he spent as a politician. Even though those years were heavily conflicted and highly stressful, the early 1970s were an extremely exciting and historically significant time to be working in politics, and Greif is grateful that he had the chance to participate. He originally got to Washington thanks to being hired by Peter Peyser in 1971. Peyser was a recently elected congressman representing New York State, and had hired Greif as his chief of staff. He would find himself extremely glad of this decision, since ultimately Greif would successfuly run campaigns that would get Peyser reelected twice.
Peter Peyser was an interesting and successful politician in his own right. Peyser was the republican congressman who represented the suburban Westchester County. Peyser was a close political associate of Nelson Rockefeller and the two were actually good friends. Many were the times that the two would develop policies together. Peyser’s connections with Rockefeller would give Grief the chance to work on many special and prestigious projects. He drew much attention from his superiors due to the excellent job he performed on them. The assignments may have been difficult, but it was nothing that Grief wasn’t able to accomplish.
Grief’s position as a chief of staff during the early 1970s was ideal for Grief to build on-the-job experience. One event he remembers particularly fondly is a dinner party, held by President Nixon at the White House, he attended with three other congressman and their chiefs of staff. He also got to take part in various political briefings with the Secretaries of State and Defense. The period during which Grief was in Washington was also one of great political conflict, and he was forced to defend many unpopular policies– most notably because he was working for a Democrat during the Vietnam War and for a Republican during the Watergate scandal. He notes those two occasions as having required him to stand behind particularly unpopular decisions made by his superiors.
While acting as a chief of staff in Washington in the early 1970s, Lee Greif met Randee, the woman who became his first wife. When they met she was employed as a chief of staff for a senator of Missouri, Thomas Eagleton. Lee and Randee became good friends with Thomas Eagleton and they considered him to be a terrific guy and they often kept his company. Eagleton was a dedicated public servant, so having his support was a huge asset to Lee. Lee began to see him as a role model and major source of inspiration. Eagleton would later go on to run as Vice President on McGovern’s presidential campaign. The 5 years that Greif would spend in Washington as chief of staff for Peter Peyser was an important and fondly remembered time in his life. He would apply the knowledge he learned here to all the other challenges in this life.

If you own a small business that you want to grow in the future, you may need additional funds to achieve your growth ambitions. To protect yourself from your business’s liabilities in the future, and to help attract further finance or investment, you may want to consider small business incorporation.
Incorporating your business will give you credibility with the banks, so raising further finance will be easier. Also the share structure of your newly incorporated business will make the process of raising investment equity easier too.
The other main benefit of incorporation I mentioned above is the personal liability protection that the new legal entity gives you. Instead of risking your own personal assets and savings, your personal risks will be limited to the amount of cash you invest in the business as share capital, so if your business hits troubled times following incorporation, your personal assets are protected.
Problems often occur with cash flow during times of rapid growth, so this personal protection afforded by incorporation should be considered.

What is a Solicitor and what is conveyancing? Why do I require a Solicitor to help me with conveyancing? These may be a only some questions you are asking yourself. Let’s see if we can reply to a few of them.
The legal work that is necessary when buying and selling a home is called conveyancing. A Solicitor is the human being that would aid you with this legal work. Some of the things that a Solicitor or conveyancer would be doing are things like dealing with property registry. This is the process of making sure that the seller of a particular house is the actual proprietor and that they have the right to get rid of the house.
Another service a solicitor or a conveyancer provides is inspects to see if there are any property disputes that involve that particular residence and they also check the lease which gives them information on whether there are special conditions or any other charges that you could have to contend with by purchasing that particular home.
There are good and terrible conveyancing solicitors. Finding a good one isn’t that hard to do if you keep these things in mind. A fine conveyancing solicitor must always return your calls promptly and they actually listen to the concerns you may be having with a particular home. Solicitors and conveyancers can keep a home deal moving along so it doesn’t get tied up in all the legal mounds of paper and he or she must be ready to alert you of any possible hazards there may be by buying a particular piece of land.
When searching for a fine conveyancer or a solicitor, do your investigating. Ask friends, family co-workers or anyone you know who has purchased a home lately and used a conveyancer or a solicitor. Only go to looking up an unknown conveyancer or solicitor if you don’t have any other choice. A deal could be postponed considerably if your conveyancer or solicitor is not on the ball and doesn’t stay on top of things.
So do your investigating and find the best solicitor or conveyancer that will help you with all of your legal house buying issues.

Steve and I have joined the Pre-Paid Legal Services, Inc. associate team after being very impressed with their legal services and identity theft offerings. There’s a lot to like about the company and the services. First, the company is now 36 years old and is traded on the NYSE. It is well capitalized, and extremely well integrated within each state of the union.
As pre-paid legal services associates, we can now offer our clients a new service that fits right in with our other Emryld Advantage offerings. The added benefits give us an extra means to make contact with new clients, and a great opener for conversations about our other offerings to small business clients, such as customized web sites, group insurance plans, and the like. Come give us a look!

There are times when you might need a business continuity executive travel policy. A continuity policy, as its name suggests, makes it possible to continue your business activities even under unforseen events. There are all kinds of situations where such a policy might come in handy. An epidemic or pandemic of illness, for example, could cause a shutdown in business unless a continuity policy was in effect. You can purchase this type of policy from most any agency who deals with business and corporate insurance. You can also view business travel videos for more info

It took some creative financing for one businessman to try for his share of the eastern Iowa tourism dollar. He actually made his attraction appear to be a charity drive by announcing that all children with cancer would be allowed in for free. He then started a direct mail campaign to the residents of all the larger cities in the area. This was accomplished with the help of a major player in the direct mail market in the area. Then with the help of four of his closest friends he set up a phone bank that targeted the wealthiest individuals in the area. They did their research well and had contributions coming in at a good rate when the floor fell out from underneath them. It seems that although they did good research on where to find the money they didn’t research what it takes to be a real nonprofit. Once the IRS found out about their illegal money raising operations they sent agents to the area to check it out. What the agents found was that not only was this not a true non profit but it was organized for the sole purpose of generating money and the charity end of the enterprise was never planned to be preformed.

The business communities in western Iowa are getting together to find ways to increase western Iowa tourism, especially as it relates to bars and restaurants as there is a predicted twenty percent drop once the Iowa legislature passes the proposed no smoking bill in those places. It is expected that the private clubs with take over most of the smokers business and those clubs are generally not a for profit business and therefore do not contribute to the tax base. The loss of revenue will affect western Iowa more than some other parts of the state as there is a lower density of population there. Although the population is less there are many of the same infrastructure costs as the denser areas and people are worried about having the money for the upkeep of roads and bridges in the area. Most of the bridges in the area are on county owned roads and are not paid for by the state. The businesses want a local rule law so that they can decide on a community by community basis what the overall outcome of a smoking ban would be and would be quickly able to reverse the rule if it had adverse effects on the tax revenue.

Michael Cherney of the Michael Cherney Foundation is trying to get a multi billion dollars settlement from Oleg Deripaska, the owner of Rusal the Russian aluminium giant.
Michael Cherney is trying to get the case heard in the High Court of London - because he believes that senior Russian politicians are against him, and he will not see a fair trial in Moscow.
But first Michael Cherney has got to get the case heard - easier said than done as this case has nothing to do with England.
The judge will probably reject the case as Michael Cherney is a Russian businessman who lives in Israel, Oleg Deripaska is a Russian businessman who lives in Russia, and Rusal is a Russian company.
In order for Michael Cherney to get his case heard in a London court, his legal team has got to convince the London judge that the case belongs in London’s High court.

“Working on perfect solutions”, “doing research”, “reading”, “waiting” will not give you the answers you need to be able to boost your Internet related business. Todays Web marketing is not comparable with, let’s say, the way Albert Einstein came up with his “Theory About Relativity of Space And Time” This is physics and math, and this was 100 years ago. Before Quantum Mechanics.
Internet marketing doesn’t relate to the laws of quantum mechanics, but it had proved one fact. Even the most brilliant mind cannot come up with ground breaking ideas without doing experiments.
You are a marketer, your medium are people, Web visitors. Don’t let them wait, let them participate and serve them quickly.
Very successful business people do it that way. Mimic them, do the same, and become successful.

Could Michael Cherney be so cynical that he’d use his charity - The Michael Cherney Foundation to hamper Oleg Deripaska’s RusAl IPO?
Michael’s made it widely known though his network of self promotional websites that The Michael Cherney Foundation will receive 600 million dollars - should he win his court case against Oleg Deripaska - despite the fact that the case has little chance of even going to court.
Michael’s got a serious problem - he’s got a legal case he wants to bring to trial - but the case belongs in Russia - but Michael daren’t go back there as he made powerful enemies when he lived in Russia.
So Michael’s trying to get the case heard in London - despite the fact that neither he or Oleg live in the UK, and their companies are not located in the UK either.
It’s an interesting dilemma - and there’s an article covering the Michael Cherney London lawsuit see what you think about Michael’s chances - and whether it’s just a cynical ploy dreamed up by Michael’s public relations company - in order to cause trouble for Oleg’s RusAl IPO.
