What advertising agencies to choose?

Thursday, January 28th, 2010

Back in the day, ad agencies prided themselves on doing everything. The best ad agencies would write your white papers, come up with marketing and branding strategies for you, handle all of your public relations, and do anything else that you needed to make your brand successful.

Although there are many advertising agencies out there that still take this approach, the trend is towards more and more specialization within the ad business. Many marketing agencies aim to do just one thing, and to do it very well.

You should also think about what your emphasis is on. Some advertising agencies specialize in working with new companies to help them to get off the ground as far as brand identity goes.

The Convenience Of Wine Hampers

Wednesday, February 4th, 2009

Christmas hampers are gifts that are normally presented in a wicker basket. The act of giving a hamper has a long history in the Western world and, before, was done as a giving act, using the hamper to present food and other home necessities to the poor. The basket the hamper was presented in was also purposefully chosen as it was a handy household item that could be utilized.

In modern times, Christmas Hampers have come to be less presents of necessities and more presents of little indulgences, such as wine hampers for example. An emphasis is placed on the finest products such as gourmet jams, fine chocolates, exotic coffee beans, fine wines and other quality products that can be had as a treat and will keep long enough for your special someone to take their time in using the hamper.

There has also been a growing tendency to make specialist Christmas Hampers – wine hampers that are filled with a wide range and types of wine, chocolate hampers and bread and cheese hampers. Hobby hampers are an even more modern development and are filled not with food but with essential and wanted items to please gardeners or DIY enthusiasts, for example. The contents of a hamper are only restricted by your imagination!

The flexibility of wine hampers is why it makes such a pleasing gift. They can be adapted to any special someone and can be filled with anything that would give pleasure to your special someone. When choosing the hamper you want to give, give careful consideration to what items your special someone likes – are they a white wine connoisseur? Then wine hampers are a great idea! Are they a gourmet? Then fill the hamper with premium food products. Are they expecting a baby? Why not give them a hamper filled with helpful baby products.

Wine hampers can be given for any occasion – for birthdays, for hens nights or bachelorette parties, for weddings, for anniversaries, for an expecting mom-to-be and, most popularly, for Xmas.

The Xmas hamper has become all the rage and, in an intriguing twist, customers are buying Christmas UK hampers to use for themselves instead of as a gift for other people. Often packed with luxury Xmas luxuries such as shortbread, chocolate, wine, Xmas pudding and even turkey, they are purchased by individuals to be used over the Xmas period. Many hampers are purchased on a payment plan over the year and then enjoyed for the holiday season, helping families pay for the cost of the loved Xmas luxuries expected over the holiday season.

There are plenty of businesses that concentrate in supplying hamper gifts and lots of them can be found quickly and simply on the net. Many of them will have pre-packed UK hampers – such as wine hampers or food hampers – and some may let you to modify a hamper and pack it with items of your choice. Most businesses will deliver your hamper, making it a convenient and thoughtful gift.

Of course, you don’t have to use a professional to make a lovely hamper and it can be even more thoughtful to create your own. When putting together a hamper, give careful thought to what they might like. Focus on helpful items and special products that your special someone might not know to purchase for themselves, to make it even more considerate. UK hampers also work best when filled with items that won’t go off easily, such as red wine for wine hampers. If you do intend on putting in items that need to be refrigerated or will spoil, then make sure the hamper is given as soon as possible and make sure your special someone understands that the items must be used quickly.

Mobile Phone AdvertisingI don’t know if you have noticed, but of late, mobile phone advertising has gotten bigger, bolder and better. While I am not sure that everyone will agree with me, allow me to say that personally, I believe that we are witnessing a new era in mobile phone advertising. What is so special about mobile phone advertising you ask? Well, for one thing, it is something that all of us notice. Simply because all of us, whether we like it or not, carry along a mobile phone with us.
To take a case in point, gone are the days when mobile phone advertising spoke about the need to stay connected. In any kind of advertising, the first phase is usually meant to set the stage. In a manner of speaking, it is meant to educate the target audience about the usage of a new product. This was the case with mobile phone advertising in the past. When mobile phones initially surfaced, the target audiences needed to be educated on their usage. Only when the phones became a part and parcel of their day to day lives, could the advertising be said to be effective. Speaking of mobile phone advertising, it has achieved this objective.
