My Business Dinner
July 12th, 2008It was going to be the biggest business dinner of my adult life, and I was throwing it. My secretary had picked up a stack of invitation paper and was personalizing each envelope with calligraphy. I was working on getting my staff in the right place and the right time, sorting through table settings, and finalizing the menu for the caterer. I had everything completely under control. Well, I thought I did. When the night came, I went to pick up a stack of business cards to hand out and realized that I didn’t have any. Luckily, my secretary had read the article, “Basics in Designing Your Own Business Cards.” She had some temporary cards printed and ready in 20 minutes. I knew I had hired her for a reason.
