Should I Lease a Car From The Ford Dealership?
April 16th, 2008Reader Question: Should I consider leasing a new car from my local Ford dealership, or is there a better avenue for auto leasing than the dealer?

Hey there Don, most new car dealerships use the financing that is best for their profits, i.e. By not using dealer financing, we can save you money on your next lease.
Car dealers are in business to sell their inventory, and of course make a profit. Whether they do this through an auto loan or through a lease their job is to get you into a vehicle. Dealers will always pay below market value for a used vehicle (as they will only be able to sell it at market value).
It is very common to have a higher balance remaining on the vehicle loan than the dealer is willing to pay for the vehicle. I would shop around at multiple Ford dealerships in your area and get quotes online, I bet you will find a different percentage rate and term option from each lender you talk to. Need help finding a cheap lease car deal? Want to know what is an auto lease anyway?
