Actuate.com – Business Intelligence Software
May 19th, 2008I’m a junior web designer for a small company, and we plan on redesigning our current website in the near future. My assignment was to research for corporate/general websites out on the web and take components from the sites and gain ideas for our new future website. While doing the search, I landed on a company called Actuate (www.actuate.com), which I think has an excellent webpage. Actuate is a software company that competes in the Business Intelligence and reporting space, and has a tagline of “Rich Internet Applications without Limits.” First thing that caught my attention is their homepage. The flash intro is awesome, and all the information (products, solutions, resources) I would need are right in front of me. The whole site is very clean and easy to navigate and has wonderful images and solid promotions. I’ve been looking deeply at the site for ideas and I would recommend this site to anyone who is seeking for website idea and looking for future design planning.
