San Francisco Debt Consolidation for Recent Graduates
Last year I graduated from college and got an awesome job in San Francisco. I love living in the city, even if I do need three roommates to afford our tiny apartment. But part of that is my own fault because I was stupid in college. (I’ve matured a lot in the last year.)
When I started school, no one had ever explained that whole credit card thing to me. I signed up for every card that gave me a T-shirt. The upside – I could get through a whole week just on credit card shirts. The downside – I used those cards to buy everything. Seriously, I charged a pack of gum.
I had $20,000 in credit card debt by the time I graduated. I figured no prob, I’ll get a good job and it’ll be gone. But I forgot about student loans. And rent. And food. And electricity. And cable. And the phone.
Every month, I spent all my money paying bills and having no fun. I finally asked my parents for help. They sent me to Bills.com to find a San Francisco debt consolidation company. They consolidated my credit cards at a lower rate and showed me how to consolidate my student loans, too. Now I make two affordable payments a month. It will take me a while to pay off, but now at least I can afford a couple beers on the weekend. I pay cash.
