Making Money on eBay
There are lots and lots of books and pages out there telling you how to make money on eBay. Most of them are probably pretty good, but I’ve not bothered with them, it’s not that I want to make a million on eBay, I just want to make some spending money and have fun.
I go to auctions, buy glassware that I like and think others will enjoy owning. That is, I buy it if I can see that I will be able to sell it and make some money. With the cost of listing continually increasing on eBay you have to be pretty selective on the items when you are talking about a lower cost item such as glassware.
Not that all glassware is inexpensive, there are some pieces that bring very good money, but probably not many that are over $100 so the cost of listing, the cost of final valuation and paypal all have to be taken into consideration when you buy.
The other advantage to buying items to sell on eBay is that you wll meet lots of other people at the auction and you will meet lots of people when you sell your items. Just always be honest, tell the potential buyers in the listing, if there is a problem with the piece, a chip, crack, grazeing or other issues so they can decide if they want to bid on the item anyway, some will if it’s a unique enough piece.
Have a good time, keep the costs in mind and go make a little spending money on eBay.
