Changing Trends In Internet Marketing And Online Advertising
August 30th, 2007It has to be obvious to many people that the internet is changing dramatically. Services like YouTube or MySpace were hard to imagine 5 years ago. I don’t have any first hand experience with either of these services. Do you? If so, please comment on your experience?
YouTube and MySpace are hot topics in the media. Not only does the public make wide use of these services, but businesses are finding creative ways to use them as well. However, these are only two of many new communication technologies and services that are impacting internet marketing and online advertising today. I suspect that terms like RSS feeds, podcasting, streaming video, contextual advertising, webcasts, weblogs, and internet broadcasting are not fully understood by most business managers. I would expect that businesses taking advantage of these new products and services are gaining a competitive advantage.
